REOPENING AFTER LOCKDOWN

Not long now!  We’re looking forward very much to being back in action.  As you will no doubt have seen, the government’s plans for a gradual emergence from lockdown include the reopening of tennis courts on March 29th.  The LTA’s efforts to plead for an earlier return for our socially-distanced sport have evidently been unsuccessful, but the good news is that it will be a return to almost full play for outdoor clubs.  The LTA have now confirmed the following:

“Outdoor tennis courts will be able to open from 29 March. This will mean recreational tennis will be able to resume, including singles and doubles social play, 1:1 coaching and formally organised activity for groups (maximum group size and court ratios subject to confirmation)

Indoor courts to remain closed until later in the roadmap.”

The LTA have also published this summary grid:

So we will look forward very much to reopening our courts at the Club on Monday 29 March.  With the new season about to get under way, for our latest information about membership renewal, click on “Click here for more” below…
