To secure your child’s place, please email email@example.com, detailing Child’s Name, DOB, Parent Name, Parent Emergency Contact Number, any medical conditions. We cannot reserve a place without this information.
Our coaches can also offer individual lessons. For prices, availability and to book a session, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
To ensure we offer an outstanding coaching programme we always try to offer a maximum ratio of 1 coach to 8 players in our beginner pathway and 1 coach to 4 players in our performance pathway. Our team of coaches are all experienced and LTA qualified, with up-to-date DBS checks and first aid certificates. Woodstock Tennis Club also has a Safeguarding Welfare Officer - Jenny Royal Tel: 07944 145040.
We share good practice and discuss player development at regular team meetings. Parents are welcome to meet their child’s coach to discuss their progress during week 5 and week 10 of the coaching term. These are the best weeks to meet as they are our competition weeks. We follow our very own coaching curriculum to ensure successful player development. The results of this curriculum can be seen in the number of players now playing team tennis and involved in county training. The curriculum focuses on technical, tactical and mental aspects of tennis as well as a little strength and conditioning at the beginning of each session to help develop movement and athleticism.
We use all the correct equipment for every session and expect all players to be wearing appropriate clothing and footwear (no school uniform). We have changing rooms to change in if needed. Parents are responsible for their children until the start time of the lesson.
